To achieve this goal, the following tasks have been set: 1) to reveal the etymology of the concepts “conflict” and “competition”; 2) analyze the views of legal scholars regarding the concept of conflict in law and its characteristics; 3) critically evaluate the positions of the authors who give examples of norms in which conflicts and competition in law are identified; 4) define the concept of competition in law, giving examples of criminal law norms; 5) objectively assess conflicts and competition in law from the point of view of legal regulation. The author of the study comes to the following conclusions: 1) legal conflicts and competition of legal norms are independent legal phenomena; they are united only by the fact that in both conflict and competition, the law enforcer must choose one of the norms to regulate the actual relationship; 3) legal conflicts and competition of legal norms differ: a) from the point of view of their assessment; b) from the point of view of their connection with the actual circumstances of the case: competition cannot exist in isolation from the actual circumstances of the case; conflicts of legal norms exist regardless of whether there are specific facts falling under these norms; 4) the problem of the relationship between legal conflicts and competition of legal norms has not only theoretical, but also practical significance.
Vladimir Valentinovich Kozhevnikov Copyright (c) 2024 Matondang Journal https://biarjournal.com/index.php/matondang/article/view/1022 Wed, 31 Jan 2024 09:45:49 +0000 The Sacred Insence: The Ketoret - קְטֹ֣רֶת https://biarjournal.com/index.php/matondang/article/view/1045
Jewish religious traditions detailed in Exodus 30:34-38. Comprising rare spices like stacte, onycha, galbanum, and frankincense, the Ketoret (קְטֹ֣רֶת) was historically burned in the Tabernacle, symbolizing a direct connection to the divine. Despite ongoing debates on ingredient identification, the ritualistic importance of the Ketoret remains deeply rooted in Judaism, prompting continued exploration in religious scholarship, despite its absence in modern Jewish tradition. Our research conducts a thorough bibliographic review, integrating biblical data to scrutinize the complex phenomena surrounding the Ketoret. Seeking to provide innovative frameworks, our study aims to illuminate the ritual's intricacies, fostering paradigm shifts in interdisciplinary discourse and advancing scientific understanding. The burning of the sacred Ketoret, composed of Commiphora myrrha, Onycha, Ferula galbaniflua, and Boswellia sacra, transcends mere fragrance, symbolizing a transformative process. The rising smoke becomes a spiritual offering, creating a bridge between the terrestrial and celestial realms and mirroring the worshipper's ascent toward the divine. This study underscores the Ketoret's theological significance as a conduit for spiritual elevation and connection, where the burning ritual signifies a fragrant communion with the divine. Each ingredient's meticulous selection imparts layers of symbolic significance, representing unity and diversity within the divine fabric. The research also traces the historical evolution of aromatic practices, from traditional fumigation to contemporary extraction methods, highlighting enduring global traditions and diverse applications in various temples and Israel's Ministry of Health-approved kits.
Robijaona Rahelivololoniaina Baholy Copyright (c) 2024 Matondang Journal https://biarjournal.com/index.php/matondang/article/view/1045 Wed, 31 Jan 2024 09:46:35 +0000 Unlocking Human Potential: A Reflection on Genesis 11:6 https://biarjournal.com/index.php/matondang/article/view/1046
Genesis 11:6 illuminates the intertwining realms of human potential and divine purpose, extolling the limitless power when united. This timeless summons encourages noble pursuits in reverence to the Creator. Employing a methodology bridging the Bible and the Internet, ingenious narratives in both Testaments exemplify human prowess. Online, the evolution of technology and social networks manifests breakthroughs, including the realm of artificial intelligence. The study was guided by four objectives, and corresponding research questions were formulated to address these objectives. A quantitative descriptive survey method was employed as the research design. The target population comprised 1334 JSS II social studies students across 22 public schools in Jos North. The researcher designed two structured questionnaires for data collection, one for students and one for teachers. Face and content validity were applied to the instruments, and reliability was established at 0.67 and 0.71 for the students' and teachers' questionnaires, respectively. Data analysis utilized mean and standard deviation for the main analysis, while simple percentages were employed to analyse respondents' demographic information. The findings indicated, among other insights, that the think-pair-share strategy was not widely known among teachers and students of social studies in the study area. Additionally, the study highlighted the significant role of the think-pair-share strategy in fostering the development and enhancement of students' self-esteem in Junior Secondary School. The study recommends organizing seminars, symposiums, and conferences to familiarize teachers with the think-pair-share strategy as an effective teaching approach. Furthermore, school administrators should recognize the importance of introducing teachers and students to the think-pair-share strategy and encourage its implementation in their respective classrooms.
Shittu Lukman Olayinka Copyright (c) 2024 Matondang Journal https://biarjournal.com/index.php/matondang/article/view/1047 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 08:57:33 +0000 Safety Awareness in Auto Mechanics Workshop Among Technical College Students in Lagos State https://biarjournal.com/index.php/matondang/article/view/1048
The study investigated the safety awareness in auto-mechanics workshops among Technical College Students in Lagos State. The study adopted the survey type of descriptive research. The population of the study consists of eighty (80) technical college students in three technical colleges in Lagos state. Data were collected with the use of instrument namely: Safety Awareness in Auto Mechanics Workshop Questionnaires (SAAWQ). In the date processing the simple percentage and frequency counts were used to quantify and to analyse the responses. The result of the study showed that accidents prevention does not occur by itself, that it is the duty of the students, the teachers, instructors and administrators to be educated on why and how accidents happen. Also, the need to develop and adhere to safe working habits. Findings showed that using wrong tools to work, worn out tools, poor safety rules among others can cause accidents in the workshop.
